Recently, the China Light Industry Council and the China Association of Educational Equipment and Sports Goods awarded Tengjiao Town in Pingyang County the honorary title of “Hometown of Chinese Notebooks.” This prestigious national title will enhance Tengjiao’s notebook brand, increase regional visibility, and provide strong branding support for the leapfrog high-quality development of the notebook industry.

In June 2023, the Pingyang County Government submitted an application to the China Light Industry Council and the China Association of Educational Equipment and Sports Goods to establish Tengqiao Town as the “Hometown of Chinese Notebooks.” Later that month, Ms. Yi Xiaoli, President of the China Association of Educational Equipment and Sports Goods, led a delegation to Tengqiao for an on-site investigation of the town’s notebook industry. The delegation was deeply impressed by the notebook industry in Tengqiao Town.

On November 28, 2023, Vice President Ma Zhenhua of the China Association of Educational Equipment and Sports Goods led a team of experts to Tengqiao for an on-site evaluation. The expert group unanimously agreed that Tengqiao Town’s notebook industry has developed a complete industrial system, with a large scale, high market share, a well-established industrial chain, a wide range of product categories, and significant industry influence, meeting the evaluation criteria.

On December 26, 2023, the China Light Industry Council and the China Association of Educational Equipment and Sports Goods officially announced the decision to award Tengjiao Town the title of “Hometown of Chinese Notebooks – Tengjiao.”
